    Outstanding Parliamentarian Awards were felicitated by President Sh Pranab Mukherjee:

    They are as follows:

    1. Shri Arun Jaitley(Finance Minister) was conferred outstanding Parliamentarian Awards for 2010
    2. Dr Karan Singh (Congress Leader) was conferred outstanding Parliamentarian Awards for 2011
    3. Sh Sharad Yadav (Janata Dal United President) was conferred outstanding Parliamentarian Awards for 2012.

    Indian women recurve team won gold in Archery World Cup : Deepika Kumari led women archers team clinched the recurve team gold after routing 6-0 in the final.Deepika won 3 medals when she bagged a bronze each in recurve’s women individual event and recurve mixed  team pair event with per partner Jayant Talukdar.

    2014 Fields Medal: Mr Manjul Bhargava,a Canadian Mathematician of Indian Origin has been awarded for discovery in Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer-Conjecture the Prestigious 2014 Field Medals at International Mathematical Union.It is considered Nobel Prize for Mathematics
