    CTET FAQQuestion 1 : Which types of questions are asked in CTET?
    Answer : All questions in CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), means objective types, each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

    Question 2 : Can I apply for CTET as I have done graduation this year?
    Answer : Only graduation is not the complete eligibility for CTET, the candidate must have

    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
    • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

    Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) :

    • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
    • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
    • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in
    • Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)
    • Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
    • OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
    • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

    Question 3 : What is the upcoming schedule for CTET Exams?
    Answer : The next CTET Exam is scheduled on 21st February 2016, generally this exam is conducted twice a year.

    Question 4 : What is the CTET Application Fee?
    Answer : The CTET Application Fee/Examination Fee is Rs.600 for Paper I & Rs.1000 for Both Papers (I & II) for General/OBC Candidates. While for SC/ST/Differently Abled Person candidates is Rs.300 & Rs.500 respectively.

    Question 5 : How to Apply for CTET Entrance Exams?
    Answer : Candidates can apply online through the CTET website

    Question 6 : What is the selection procedure for CTET?
    Answer : All questions in CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTET.

    (a) Paper I will be for a person who wants to be a teacher for classes I to V.
    (b) Paper II will be for a person who wants to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

    A person who wants to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

    Question 7 : How many times I can attempt CTET Exams?
    Answer : There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

    Question 8 : My age is 30 years, am I eligible for CTET Exams?
    Answer : Yes, if you have the valid qualifications, there is no age limit prescribed for CTET, you can attempt as many times as you want.
