    1. Virat Kohli Became First Brand Ambassador for Uber India

    Indian Cricket team Capitan Virat Kohli has been named first Brand Ambassador of the Uber in India.

    Uber is a cab-hailing startup headquartered is in San Francisco, California, United States.

    For the first time, Uber has roped any brand ambassador across the Asia Pacific region.

    2. Indian -Origin Sanjeev Gupta Became the UK Skills Ambassador

    Britain’s Prince Charles appointed Indian-origin steel tycoon Sanjeev Gupta as the ambassador for the Industrial Cadets programme designed to nurture manufacturing skills.

    Gupta was appointed to the flagship programme to give children and young people the direct structured experience of the industry while still at school or college.

    He is an Executive Chairman of UK-based GFG Alliance.

    3. First Cyber Police Station of Haryana Opened in Gurugram

    Haryana first cyber police station has been opened in Gurugram.

    The cases related to cybercrime and offences would be registered now in the newly opened cyber police station.

    Also, the cyber station will act as a centralised monitoring station for all kinds of online and tech-related crimes.

    4. ‘WE-Hub’ India’s 1st State-Led Incubator for Women Launched in Telangana

    The country’s first state-led incubator for women entrepreneurs launched in Telangana.

    ‘WE-Hub’ is India’s first state-led incubator exclusively for women entrepreneurs.

    It is a business platform for aspiring women from rural and urban backgrounds helping them achieve being independent and overcome the societal barriers.

    WE Hub was launched by Tessy Thomas, Director, ASL, DRDL and Vani Kola, Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, in the presence of IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.

    5. Diu is Country’s First UT to Run 100% on Solar Power

    Diu became the first Union territory of India to run completely on solar power energy.

    Diu is a small island and mainland village in West India will now completely run 100 percent on solar power energy.

    Diu is one of the least populated UTs in India which have a geographical area of only 42 kilometres.

    The solar power plants have been installed over 50 acres in Diu.

    6. Govt. Launched a Biodegradable Sanitary Pads ‘Suvidha’

    To mark the International Women’s Day the government has launched a biodegradable sanitary pad which is named as ‘Suvidha’.

    The price of the oxo-biodegradable sanitary pads is Rs. 2.50 per pad and it will be available at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi centres.

    7. ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Kosh’ Pension Scheme Launched in MP

    The state government of Madhya Pradesh launched a pension scheme for the single women of the state.

    Under the scheme, the pension will be given to all the unmarried women who 50 or above 50 years old.

    All the women residents of MP who are single will now get the pension after they turn 50 years of age.

    Later, all such unmarried women will receive a pension on a monthly basis till the time they get married.

    The scheme was launched by the MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

    8. India & France Signed 14 Agreements

    India and France signed 14 agreements in important strategic areas which include maritime security, nuclear energy, etc.

    The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting French

    President French President Emmanuel Macron is in India for a four-day visit.

    During his visit both the leaders will inaugurate the largest100 MW solar power in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh on 12 March.

    9. Prakriti to be First ITBP Woman Combat Officer

    Prakriti has become the first woman to be inducted as direct-entry combat officer by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

    Prakriti is a 25-year-old has completed her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

    She hails from Bihar’s Samastipur district.

    The ITBP is the last of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to induct women officers in combat roles after the government first allowed it to enrol them in 2016.

    “She is expected to be commissioned as an Assistant Commandant (AC) next year in the force after she completes her training at Dehradun.

    10. Patangrao Kadam former Maharashtra Minister Passed Away

    Patangrao Kadam a former Maharashtra minister and Senior Congress leader passed away due to prolonged illness at a Mumbai hospital. He was 72.

    He was great educationist and founder of several educational institutes, including the Bharati Vidyapeeth at Pune.

    11. Pyarelal Wadali Veteran Sufi Singer Passed Away

    Renowned Sufi singer Pyarelal Wadali passed away due to cardiac arrest in Amritsar. He was 75 years old

    He was the younger brother of Ustad Puran Chand Wadali and one of the renowned singers of popularly known ‘Wadali Brothers’.

    Wadali Brothers are famous for their Punjabi Sufi music.

    12. India Beat Ireland to Finish Fifth in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Hockey

    India defeated Ireland by 4-1 to finish at fifth positions at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament.

    Varun Kumar scored twice from penalty corners while Shilanand Lakra and Gurjant Singh got the other goals for India.
