- Ratnagiri Refinery project of Maharashtra
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Saudi Aramco & Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and India to jointly develop and build an integrated refinery and petrochemicals complex at Ratnagiri,Maharashtra.
- The project will be implemented by Ratnagiri Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. (RRPCL). RRPCL which is promoted by a consortium of India PSUs consisting of IOCL, BPCL and HPCL will now have Saudi Aramco & ADNOC as overseas strategic partners.
- The project will be set up as a 50:50 joint partnership (50:50) between the consortium from India and Saudi Aramco and ADNOC.
- Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) as an annual exercise between both Navies of India & Bangladesh.
- Both countries are agreed to institute Coordinated Patrol.
- The first edition of CORPAT will be held from June 27 to June 29, 2018.
- Four maritime patrol aircraft, two from the Bangladesh Navy and two from the Indian navy will participate in the CORPAT.
- The Navy regularly conducts CORPATs with Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand.
- E Sreedharan panel on the standards for metro rail systems
- The panel aims at cutting the costs in the construction and operation of metro rail systems in the country and brings them under the Make in India umbrella.
- The committee will be headed by E Sreedharan, who is also popularly known as the “Metro Man.
- It will bring India to the international standard in line with Russia and Eastern Europe where every metro has the same standards, the same signalling system and track gauge, etc.

- The youngest Grandmaster ever is Russia’s Sergey Karjakin, who achieved the feat aged 12 years, 7 months and has held the record since 2002.
- Apart from World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain.
- Mundka-Bahadurgarh corridor
- 11-km-long fully elevated Mundka-Bahadurgarh stretch, with seven stations, is an extension of the existing Delhi Metro’s Green Line from Inderlok to Mundka.
- This is the third place in Haryana to be brought under Delhi Metro’s network, after Gurugram and Faridabad.

- Mohanpura irrigation project in Madhya Pradesh
- Project includes a dam and a canal system, which benefit 727 villages in the state.
- It would irrigate 1.25 lakh hectares of land and would also provide drinking water to over 400 villages.
- Use of LED bulbs are mandatory in govt offices of Haryana by 15 Aug
- All halogen, sodium bulbs and tube lights will be replaced with energy-efficient LED bulbs and tube lights.
- The use of incandescent lamps and purchase of sodium vapour lamps by government sector, government aided sector, boards and corporations and autonomous bodies have already been banned.

- No Toilet, No Bride resolution
- Haryana’s Godikan village panchayat has passed a ‘No Toilet, No Bride’ resolution, becoming the first panchayat in the country to do so.
